Aerie Backcountry Medicine Wilderness First Responder Course
The Wilderness First Responder course is a 72-hour medic course that focuses on the diagnosis and stabilization of injuries that occur more than two hours from hospital or ambulance. All of the information can be transferred to common everyday injuries as well.
Those who complete this course will earn a national certification that is a standard requirement for many outdoor-based jobs such as summer camps, schools, wilderness guides, ski patrols, etc. Certification lasts for three years.
The course will run from 8am–5:30pm daily. Fees for the eight-day certification course are run between $475-$550, and pre-registration is required. On-site camping and cooking facilities are available at no charge.
